Nijiya is a chain Japanese supermarket, there's one not too far from my office in Torrance. We often go there for lunch if sometimes we don't bring our lunches. Besides regular groceries, they also have all kind of bentos, sushi, sashimi and also some sort of small food court! It's easy and cheap for a quick bite lunch!
Steam Pumpkin ($2.99)
Norma got this, I didn't get to taste but I am sure it's good!
Broiled Salmon ($2.80)
We all love their fresh broiled salmon. It's very light and flavorful. Today Ruth got it to go with her salad!
Mabo Don (Spicy Tofu Bowl) ($3.99)
Norma, Ruth and I all got this Mobo Tofu bowl, it has ground pork, chopped green onions, tofu and that special hot sauce on top of the rice. I told Ruth about this and once she tried, she's hooked, then now Norma loves it too! Just microwave it and the lunch is served!
I love the Nijiya mabo tofu and $3.99 is a bargain. sometimes, I will go after 7 PM and get 20% off... hehehe!
